Men's Club

We hope you and your family have been enjoying a happy and healthy holiday season. The TOL/OLS Men’s Club has been in full swing during this period. In addition to our year round Sunday minyon service followed by breakfast, there has been a lot of activity. Our own Irwin Harris did a great job coordinating schedules for Men’s Club members and others who acted as greeters and ushers for the High Holiday Services. Joe Charny did a wonderful job leading the Yom Kipper Mincha service. We provided candy bars for the children as part of the Simcha Torah service.

Now that New Light Men’s Club will be back for Sunday minyon, starting in October, we are working with them along with Rabbi Myers and the ritual committee to make changes in how the service is run. This should lead to an enhanced service that benefits both congregations. In addition, we are working with Rabbi Myers on a monthly Sunday breakfast program for our religious school.

We will also be working on plans to sponsor Build a Pair, a learning experience about Tefillin for 5th graders. Before the year is up we will plan our purchase for the Yellow Candle Project which our religious school students will help us with. Packing the candles helps them feel the impact of the Holocaust that they have just finished studying about. We look forward to co-sponsoring programs with other groups like our Sisterhood, including a Shabbat service. Your membership dues are critical for the programs that we are able to provide. Please take the time to support these and other programs your contribution will allow us to offer.

Men's Club Membership is $36 per year.

Thank you for your support and hope to see you at some of our events.
